NORTHLINE NOTES / Places
The open room
A quiet shared space gives a fictional neighbourhood a new place to meet.
A room with an invitation.
The old room had been a storage space for years. Then someone moved a table beside the window and asked what else it could become.
Neighbours brought a few chairs, a plant and a notebook for ideas. Nothing was expensive. The most useful change was simply making the room available.
Leave room for the next person.
One shelf held books to borrow. Another held objects waiting to be repaired. Each visit added something small to a space that was never quite finished.
This is a fictional story created for the GoLocal demonstration.
